Things That Are Flaglike For $5000, Alex...

so, as i whined previously...i am way low on ink, which is a problem.
a bigger problem is that i forgot i was way low on ink...{which is sad,
bordering on scary! ;} all that to say, that when i attempted to print
up some sheet music from the be-all-end-all-Graphics Fairy...i ended
up with this bluish colored print...icky pooh pooh! but i didn't want
to let it go to waste, so...

{sidebar: look! it's the pinterest logo! yes, these are the things i
think of...like i said, sad and scary! ;}

...employing my patented use-your-laptop-screen-as-a-light-board
technique, i traced some stars...badly...but traced nonetheless! {it's
enough to make steve jobs shiver!}

i cut...
and cut...
and cut...
after the stars where done i needed a hoho and a cold compress!
then i cut...
and cut...
and cut...
napped a bit...

9 stars were all i could manage...
you other 4 colonies...no offense intended!
just thank your lucky stars that our forefathers
weren't so lazy! although Betsy Ross might have
appreciated only having to deal with 9 stars! ;}
{sidebar #2: whenever i think about our history,
the schoolhouse rock songs play in my head...
do you remember them? this was back in the
stone age...you know, before hannah montana...
when tv was semi-educational! wow! i am
officially an old fuddy-duddy! ;}

but where was i?

oh yes. the stripes were easier...
especially when you just eyeball it.
again, thankfully our forefathers did not
merely "eyeball" the Declaration, or anything
that had to do with our destiny! or the other 4
colonies! ;}
Phew!

i am a flag kinda gal!
it get all weepy, nostalgic, misty...
so, any representation of Old Glory suits me just fine!
even this wee one!

sure, just buying one would be easier...
but then what would i have to blog about? ;}

  4. you are a funny, funny person...you always make me laugh, and sometimes, i even do an unladylike snort.

    i havent decided yet if you are possibly insane, or just eccentric...but either way, i really enjoy your blog.

    when i get tired of reading some of the other "paint every piece of furniture in my house with annie sloane chalk paint" blogs, i come back and scroll through yours for laughs, and very nice pictures, you always show off your creations so nicely!

    anyway, just wanted to finally comment and tell you i enjoy you, very much.
