A Chintzy Little Treat...

Well, it's dreary again...as it has been for weeks.
And as much as I LOVE it...{because I am a little bit off...}
it's making it impossible for me to take any pictures...
so, I haven't...and I am stuck!

OK...I know that those of you who have been sweltering for weeks
want to slap me silly...but this is Cali...Summer weather every month...
except for June.

So, anyway...to brighten all of our day...I went into the Wayback Machine
and grabbed as many chintzy shots as I could manage.

Did a bit of editing hocus pocus...

and loaded them up to share!

I know this does NOT apply to everyone...
but the most frenzied comments and emails we get are in
response to my sisters' cupboards full of chintz!

So, I will get out of the way now...

and let you peruse!

{I know I always say that...and it's usually a lie! ;}

How did that get in there! He's getting to be as bad as Jane!

Oh, before I go...
a little reality check...

It's a special breed who dares to laugh in the face of the tectonic plate gods
and their pesky "rim of fire"...

...sometimes they laugh right back! ;}

  15. Wow! Chintz heaven! In one of the photos that really caught my eye because of the fabulous color of the chintz, I saw a note card like some I have been hanging onto for years. The note card is entitled "Kate's Dresser" and is a picture of a shabby green cabinet with a wonderful array of chintz. I would not normally say I am a chintz addict and I do not collect it, but something about that image has made me keep that the note cards all these years. Someday I would like to recreate a chintz cabinet like that in my own home.

    I loved the chintzy little treat today!

  19. I agree this June Gloom makes it so very hard to shoot anything indoors. It was sunny yesterday when I woke up but today all gloomy again. I adore all that chintz.

  20. I see some very familiar patterns there, my Mom had some pieces like yours.

    And it's sadly familiar to see broken pottery, that seems to be a knack of mine too.

  21. Well it pays to be "chintzy" those pieces are gorgeous.
    It appears you're experiencing "June Gloom" quite common in Southern Cali, shall I share a bit of our heat with you? It was 103 where I am today, sigh...I stayed inside:)

    I hope this note finds you well Lovey....!!
