Ikea...And The Seven Deadly Sins

Ever since I first laid eyes on this pretty pink polka
dotted candle from Ikea...I have been dancing
precariously close to committing the 7 deadly sins!
I know! It's just a candle...land sakes! Get a hold of yourself
woman! It's merely wax that will melt away in a jiff and
leave you heartbroken!

And yet...

Did I not LUST over it..YES...HELLO! It's perfectly pink in every way!

Did I not ENVY my sister for her possession of their polka dottiness! Uh, yes.
Just because she older than me doesn't mean she gets all the good candles!
She's NOT the boss of me!

WRATH!!!! My niece went to the Costa Mesa store and they were SOLD
OUT! She was also told that there were none to be found in the OC!
How do you like them apples! Apparently all those selfish OC Housewives
bought them up!

LAZINESS...my niece {you're a peach Fen!} then went to the Covina store...
with back spasms...to buy them...all I had to do was sit on my bahookie...
then pick them up from Bee's house and skip giddily home...ok, I drove...
I'm too lazy to skip, remember!

GREED! Want! Want! Want! NOW! {channeling a little Veruca Salt here!}
Mine! All mine!

PRIDE! I have the prettiest candles EV-UH!

GLUTTONY! I have every darn pink polka dotted candle in the
Western Hemisphere! Muuuuhhooooowaaaaaaaaahhhh!
Ok...not all...just most! ;}

See! I told you...it's not a pretty side of me...and I blame it all
on a bit of pink wax...and Ikea!

{never fear...one or two just might make their way into a future
give away...after a lot of fervent prayer and repentance! ;}

Pop over to Beverly's for Pink Saturday !

  34. Dang, dang, dang!!!! I just made the 2 1/2 hour trip to IKEA on Thursday and I didn't see even one pink poka dot candle. Did you drive all the way to Michigan to take all of them from our store too???? I say this only because it would be something that I would consider doing when I get a needle in my butt over something like this. Thanks for the morning chuckle.
