Baby? Maybe...Not!

The slightly frightening obsession with frames continues...



So, just because this frame set was supposed to be used to capture "baby's
first year" in pictures...well, my youngest baby is 2 1/2...and has whiskers &
a furry bum! But this set was on clearance...$5...baby or no, I could make
them work!



Paint, paint, paint...the magic elixir! ;}




I began with the idea of simplicity...


A few "this & that's" to create frames that would actually be used for pictures!
{my frames so rarely are! ;}



{Yes, I know I said "simple"...but only the shells are glittered...not the entire
frame! To me, that's "simple"!}




But as I created one "simple" frame after another...another idea began to
stir...



Who needs a picture?





So, I just made some of the frames into little works of art unto themselves!




{couldn't resist the feather! ;}



OK...she's pretty cute! She probably rates a frame!




But I'm pretty happy with all the others just as they are!

The Whine Heard 'Round The World!

You might possibly remember a VERY whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny POST I did a few months back...lamenting the fact that ROBERT GORDON POTTERY ...the fabulous, gorgeous...ELUSIVE...pottery was not available in the US!



Well...I just wanted to let you know that my WHINE {among many others!} was heard!





Now, I am not at liberty to say who, what, why...you know, all that stuff...






But there is a buzz about the grapevine that Robert Gordon Pottery should
be hitting our fair shores in the very near future!





When I know more...so will you...but I, for one, can't wait!






Mmmmmmm.......yummy!

It's All About The Pink!

Yes, the reason I love this busy, bright and mostly blue chintz pattern
called JULIA ...is the pink!



It's sugar-y, cotton candy-y, bubblegum-y loveliness!




Royal Winton sure knew how to make some YUMMY china!




And I, for one, really eat it up! ;}

She Glues Sea Shells By The Sea Shore...

Shells and glue...well, let's just say they are my "crafty crack".

These look like octopi or something from Sponge Bob Square Pants,
don't they??! ;}



Well, once you add the name card, I think you get the idea?
Yep, place cards.




It took 2 seconds and adds a shellicious little touch to any Gidget's table!
{I should say I planned and slaved for hours, shouldn't I?}

WHITE WEDNESDAY at Faded Charm Cottage

Lookie Looooooo!

I don't know about you...but my absolute favorite thing to see when
visiting your blogs is a "before & after"! I don't have the room to paint
and house multiple projects...PLUS these "diamond in the rough" pieces
are not on the side of the road, like they are for some of you! Where I live,
someone has already slapped white paint on them and is asking $800!
So, imagine the palpitations I experienced when I happened upon
the Melanie's blog... THE FROSTED GARDNER !



Everyday is a "before & after"!




Wooooooohoooooooooooo!




Melanie & Mike are the dynamic duo behind all this creativity!




And have the mad skills to turn this...




into THIS! {I LOVE this! I know...it's red...but I have this deep seated
Mary Engelbriet thing!}




AND...Melanie is always on the hunt for...and finds...really cool paintings!
This one makes me GREEN with envy!




From whatever-y blah...




..to BAM!




Horror...




..to hallelujah!





And I get to watch it all from the comfort of my own home! ;}





They do all the work...and I just get to enjoy "after" after "after"!!! ;}
It's a way win-win situation!

I love everything about this pattern I just discovered...Myott's Petite.
{apparently I discovered it a tad too late because Lynn @ TEACUP STITCHES has all the good stuff!

This little rose-y ring is too darn cute! And you can see that this transfer
is very bright and crisp...




But I think I like this more faded and muted look...so I will be looking out
for the more "loved" pieces! ;}
