How To Embarrass A Bird...

Firstly...
take their perfectly adequately plain wooden
house and paint it white...
remember...birds don't know from Rachel Ashwell!




Secondly...
add daisies!
Pink daisies, no less!




Heavens to Mergatroid!
Is that birdie's face red!




Thirdly...
go pastel...
{this reminds me of a "tiki" hut...'in the tiki, tiki, tiki,
tiki, tiki room...' try to get that out of your head! ;}


Well, a self-respecting bird may not want to call them
"home", but I love them! They are just what I envisioned
when I saw the little bird houses and the flowers in a catalog...
I knew they'd look darn tootin' cute together!

These little buckets were too cute to resist...so, I didn't!

I have been seeing numbers on everything lately so I thought I'd
give it a whirl...I have no patience for patterns and templates so
I just "free handed" it...





I know, I know...needs some refining {and a better paint brush! ;}
But it's a fun little tchotchke holder for the price of about 50¢ and
2 minutes!

Above is my dining room table...and that is where I work....like I said,
nothing fancy!

I do have rooms I could use and I always think I should have a
craft room...but they are too inconvenient...I need to have a sink and
water!



The usual suspects {aka tools of my trade ;}





THIS in the credenza in front of the window where I get the best light...
I'm not going to lie...it's ALWAYS covered in creations and props...I NEED
ALL my things OUT where I can see them to inspire me!





My assistant, Dutch...{those are pearls in his jaws of deathly naughtiness!}





See...the kitchen is also "where I create"...





What would I do without my counter tops????? I am forever scootching
bits and bobs out of the way when it comes time for actual foo preparation!

Told ya...nothing fancy...but it's how I do it and where I do it...messy &
chaotic but it gets the job done! ;}

So, I bought these tiny alphabet stamps...I must have had them
for a year before I even opened them...
now I can't leave them alone...even though I'm not actually
"stamping" with them...





Their little tiny letteriness is inspiring!




And are they ever descriptive! Naughty boy!
