How in the world did "led down the garden path" ever come to
mean
something negative????

Let alone, "to deceive or hoodwink"! {even though "hoodwink" sounds
like it would be something fun, doesn't it? ;}

Just
what could possibly be bad about being lead down this path?

Or this one? Come on...you know there's something magical at
the end...you just
know it!

If not actual faeries....

then Mr. Knightly or Mr. Darcy or Captain Wentworth or...
oh, sorry, I'm back!

At the very least, there is pollen dust dancing on shafts of sunlight...

the perfume of a multitude of blooms...

the peace and solitude that breeds daydreams...

or the amazing sight of God's creations that makes the
"wonder" real again.
So come on! Let's go! There IS something down there!
