Me So 'Corny...

I do believe it's totally time for the straight jacket!
OK, who am I trying to kid...it's looooong over due!
But before they decide I am in need of a 72 hour hold,
I thought I'd show you these...

Yep. I decoupaged & glittered acorns.
It oughta be illegal or something, huh?

I just saw them and the first thing I thought was, 'Oh come on! How cute
would they look if I covered that nutty brown part with some vintage Jane
Austen or sheet music??!!" {poor Jane!}
I can't know why I think these things...I just do.
{I blame my public education...and my private education!
And transfatty whatevers!}

The actual crazy person is always the last one to know...ya know...
who said that?!

{Dear Lord,
Please forgive me for that post title.
It just popped into my smutty head
and I couldn't resist...which is no excuse
at all, but it is the truth.
And for anyone reading this who "gets"
the origin, I am deeply sorry...not sorry
enough to backspace it out of existence,
but sorry still. And for the pure of heart
who have no idea what I am seeking
absolution for...be thankful that you have
not been polluted by this degenerate
MTV age!}

  6. Ha haha I laughed so hard when I saw this title...then I thought, well maybe she is naive and didn't realize what she said.....I am relieved to know it was on purpose. However, it is now stuck in my head, and I am humming it while I craft.

  28. You and I can share a room at the Loony Bin! I too, collected bucketsful of acorns this summer... and have been glitterizing them to use as holiday package decorations.... but I LOVE your idea of decoupaging them! I think maybe you are a teensy bit nuttier than me haha! :) mercedes

  29. I love these cute little acorn ideas! My son and I were at a park the other day and there were acorns on the ground and I couldn't stop picking them up! Eventually we got a bag and just collected a ton of them! I need to put them in the freezer, though, I think -- I read somewhere that you should do that.

    Sorry I haven't posted your amazing more is more loot yet, I've been totally overwhelmed (as you can see from my last post), but I will be posting it in the next few days!

    Best,
    ~Angela :-)
