Dooder's Last Christmas...

Every Christmas for about the last 5 years, I have taken lots of pictures
of Jack {Dooder}...always telling my sister, "this could be his last Christmas".
To which she always replied, "SHUT UP!"
Yet, the next Christmas, there he'd be, "helping" us decorate another tree.

He {and his 5 siblings} were found as newborns in a dumpster behind
the grocery store where one of our brothers worked. We bottle fed them...
and everything else that goes along with that...ick. They slept in a box by
my bed and even had to come to work with me a couple times so they could
be fed all through the day. Jack was actually given away to a guy...who
promptly gave him back...too vocal...as Siamese can be. So, he ended up
in Bee's home, where he has been Joji's faithful buddy for the last 22 years.

But he has come to the end of his 9th life, it's time to let him go and we
are very sad.
We will miss you, Mr. Putter...especially this Christmas.

  11. It is so hard to let them go. It seems that they give everything they have to us and that makes us want to keep them young even more.
What an amazing rescue you all performed to be able to have Jack all this time. Angels for sure!!!

  15. Hi: We have siamese sweethearts too. It's funny how some are vocal and others are not. I love to look into their eyes. Sorry to hear about Dooder. It's wonderful you were able to save their lives...and sad that someone would put the helpless kittens in a dumpster.

  17. I'm so sorry for your loss. He's had a long, long life and you can find comfort in knowing that all his old age aches and pains are all gone. A couple of years ago I had to put down my sweetest little Persian so I know the heartache but I also knew I was putting her out of her misery.

He looks so much like my tortie point Himalayan! I hope I get as many years to enjoy my little girl as you have with your Dooders.
