Mixy Matchy Mates...

Do any of you have teacups without matching saucers?
Oh, come on....ya know ya do!

I like to use my white American Sweetheart saucers as "mates"
for all of my stray teacups...
sure...a perfect matching pair would be the cat's meow, but sometimes
imperfection is downright pretty too!

Be sure to stop by and visit TERRI &
MARTHA for more Teacup Tuesday...
and find out who owns the prettiest teacups in all creation!

  6. Good idea about using a plain white to match your lonely teacups!! I will have to watch for some nice bone china whites to go with my stray teacups.

  9. Love this..."stray teacups". Someone else called her single finds "orphan teacups" today. Love both expressions!

We're the lucky new owners of these special little wanderers!

  12. Hi: Love your idea of mix and match. I usually put my broken set in the garden. I put them in pots hiding the broken part. You have a great idea. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Martha

  13. Good for you --- adopting all those cups without saucers. They need a home, too!

  14. Hi :) I actually have saucers with no mates :( But, I can use them for other things around the house until, hopefully, one day I am lucky enough to find their matching cups.

    Happy Teacup Tuesday!

    Warmest hugs, Brenda

  16. Yep I sure do have a few of those! I think back a long time ago maybe ladies couldn't always afford both pieces so we end up with many more cups than saucers (at least that's the story I tell myself):)
Love the cup and it's un-matchy saucer.
