Want Some Treats??? Go Ahead...Be A Little "Shellfish"!!!

Summertime is well nye upon us...so, I thought a few shells
were in order!

I hope you agree!

We'll start off with my version of a "Sailor's Valentine"...

Mine is, admittedly, a tad more simple than the extravaganzas made
by the Victorians, but I think it has it's charms ;}

A little box of lovelies...

Yummy!

Not exactly edible...but looks good enough to eat!

A vintage bottle topped with a glittery shell!

Another vintage bottle that holds a "bouquet" full of shimmery
starfish!

And speaking of starfish...I know you're only seeing 2 here, but I
will include 5...you decide the glitter color {I can accommodate almost
any color choice} or you can even have them "nekked" {thank you,
SHIELA , I will never tire of that word!} if you so desire...
{and I will pray for you! ;}

OK...all does not glitter...for those of you who may be gagging!
Read on!

A shell encrusted birdhouse...that I made just for you...with my own
Flaming Hot Cheetos-stained hands!

Oddly enough, I really enjoy gluing hundreds of shells onto wood!
Scary!

I know perfectly well that shells have no place in a nest...but in my world
they look fabulous! This is little...I should have place a quarter by it for
perspective...but let me just say, the sand dollar is about the size of a
nickel.

Since I have had more comments on this shell swag than almost anything
else...

I just assumed that somebody might want one of their own?????

You may remember it looking like this...
I will glitterfy it in the color of your choice, if au naturel does not
suit you.

So I lied...sue me! ;} Lastly but not leastly...

A shelliciously pink wreath!

So, there you have it!

Shellapuhlooza 2010!

  181. Quick question, I was re-reading this post again today. When you glitter the shells are you using glass glitter or just plain ole craft glitter? and are you sealing it? I have a few shells I want to try this with and wanted to ask first before I get all messy and it does not work.

  182. I found your gorgeous blog through completely coastal and now have added you to get your feeds. I love to see shell crafts......your bird house is sooo adorable and the sailor's valentine so cool and whimsical. One of my fave days of the year is always at the Sanibel shell fair.
