The Key Element...

I have piles of "elements" (read;crap)
everywhere...if I sort, categorize & store them...
I will forget I even have them...
I must have all my bits & bobs within "eye's
reach" to inspire me.
I especially ADORE that glittery key...
one buck...Walmart...looks every
bit of 2 bucks, don't you think??!! ;}

Well, all my "key" element needed was a birdie,
a nest, a few tiny sand dollars & a crown (doesn't
every one!)

And it became a fab ornie!

Of course, this was a Christmasy creation,
but the sentiment could be adapted for
a million different occasions!

Too "tweet"! ;}

  2. Oh Sweetie...
    How beautiful this one is. Why only for Christmas, it could be anytime I think. This would be a wonderful idea for Valentines Day. The key painted red or pink glitter. How pretty it would be. I love this little project.

    I am like you, if I put things away then I can't see what I have that I am working on. I love to be able to stare at all of my projects and the items that I have for each project. Sometimes it inspires me for another project.

    I love this post, and your nest and key are just devine. Thanks for sharing. Country hugs and so much love sent your way, Sherry

  4. My husband always calls my pretties "crap". :) I suppose the beauty of "junk" lying around is in the eye of the beholder. I love what you did with your "crap" - beautiful!

  6. I wouldn't say it's 'crap.' More like treasures or just plain stuff! I know what you mean about it being within eye's reach, though. I am always amazed at what I 'find' in boxes, or elsewhere, that I have no memory of ever acquiring. Of course, if I did have it all out where I could see it, there would be no room for me to work!

    Love the glittery key. It may even look like $3!

    Hugs,
    Tamerie

  9. So inspired, I'm going to luck at my "crap" a little closer to see if I have any gems. There isn't much glitter and a birds nest can't fix!
