I Don't Know What Comes Over Me...

I just get these nutty ideas!

Stenciling erasers! Yeesh! What was I thinkin' ??!!





But if I was a girlie-girl in school, I'd like to
get a little treat like this! (do they use erasers
in school anymore? ;)

Or if you are one of those people who actually
like sudoku!!! For me... a truck load of erasers
are needed and I usually just want to stick the
pencil in my eye before I even solve one square!

Pretty-up something ordinary today! Just for
giggles! ;)

My Kinda Sweet Treats!

As I have said before, I am a scavenger...a scrounge...
and not above begging...




So, when pen & letter openers were given to the guys
at work, in this cute little box, I made my way around
to ask if anyone would part with it... ;) Yep, scroungy!

It's my dream!!! Already a niiiiice white and look at
that cute edge! Me likey!

A candy box came to mind...so I got to work!






A pretty piece of vintage wall paper, tulle, glitter,
frame...to make the outside so inviting that you just
have to see what's inside!




YUMMY!!!




Ok, not exactly "edible"...





but can easily be devoured with the eyes!




A nice little way to give a set of glittery shells
that can serve as a way to display them also.
I'd wouldn't mind getting a little box full of
"pretty"!

Vintage Bling...

I'm not really sure if the words "vintage"
and "bling" should be put together...




but this is some vintage bling...so, what
else could I say?






And obviously, I do adore it...more than
just a little!




So, I brought the kids out for little photo
shoot...



to try and catch them at their "sparkliest"!

Really! No Spoolin'!

Ever since I bought these spools of seam binding
I new they would be re-invented...somehow...




So, I gussied up some pieces of vintage
wallpaper...




added a nice little note...



...and an old spoon...



I don't know what you're supposed to use to
cut a spoon??? Regardless, I had nothing, so I
spent 5 minutes bending it back and forth until
it broke...and let me tell you, I GOT SO HOT!!!!



Then an old pearl-topped pin was needed...



All to make a little "welcome" sign...



I just had to add that little bird for a bit of
fun!

saw in the gift shop...starfish...naked

Well, naked except for one single "adornment"
in the middle.




I have to say, the idea did intrigueth me!




So, I gave it a whirl!
A "bob" from a vintage sweater...




An old ring...




A vintage button...
the possibilities are endless!




And I have to admit...I kinda like it.




And while all the frames above were merely
"props", wouldn't it be cool to truly frame them?
Backed with old lace...





Or vintage wallpaper?
The mind boggles!
I can never give up the glitter...but I just
might be able to find a place in my heart
for these starfish too!

They REALLY need to come up with
another name for this magazine, like,
A Bit Of Brides But Other Stuff Too !
(too wordy, you think ? ;)



But seriously...there are so many lovely things
to see in each issue that they are really missing
out by only marketing it to "brides"! I mean
LOOK AT THIS CAKE!!!!! I, personally, feel
slighted that had I not bought this subscription
for my friend(and bride-to-be) Katie, I would
never have seen this masterpiece!

Sheesh! The sight of it makes me need a
beta blocker!

Making these sugar boxes(sans the jordan
almonds) would be cute for many other
occasions!




I'd love a chandelier on the bathroom...over
the kitchen sink...but just hanging from
the trees outside? Oh yah!

pooh" this picture! I know a lot of you
would do this!!! Tell the truth!




While this is truly an "I do" view...




this simple place setting looks like
"any day" to me! I have never met a
starfish I didn't like!

Now I am sure this is an expensive designer
dress...but this is exactly the look the my cat
creates with a roll of toilet paper...I'm just
saying...

All in all, quite a diverting magazine that is
missing out on the attention is deserves!
