...I seem to be having a little bit of trouble
finding "inspiration" lately....but I will
keep on looking...

A JOB "OPENING"

Two of my pals at work spent last week in Kentucky
training for new positions that heretofore did not
exist in our company...but a lot of things have changed
there recently and they were lucky enough to be able
to keep their jobs under a new job title.







So, since they had to be away from home for
a whole week, in a strange and VERY cold place,
I thought I'd show them a little...





and I made them a little something to commemorate
the occasion...







A little pink and froo froo to start things off right....







and to commemorate the beginning of their new careers
as "Openers"....yep, that's what they are called...I couldn't
help myself!!! :)

Cheap Girl Blogging...A Banner Day

Maybe one day, we'll go "big time" and have a banner
that isn't handmade, but I kind of like putting together
my own collage-y banner with ever changing themes.
Sure it's a bit "home spun" but hey, I'm cheap
and since this is just a hobby, spending $$ on it
seems unwise.






You guys have tolerated our free backgrounds and
banners for this long, so you must not mind them
too much! :) (And THANKX for that!!!)










I'm not going to lie...I'd rather have a box of
candy, but a box full of pretty shells would be
nice to!!!























One of these months, we just may shock you and
you will come to visit and find such a perfectly poshly
made-over blog...you'll be wondering if you came
to the right place! But until then, when you see our
banner full of bits & bobs you'll know you're back
at the OC Cottage! :)

Pinky Sat-DUH-day!!!!!!!!

Soooooooooo....here we are...it's PINK SATURDAY...
and the post I thought I did last night???? Well,
who knows.... Apparently, I didn't even hit "enter"
on Mr. Linky so my Sky Watch & Show & Tell posts
were not even listed on those blogs for Friday...

Oh, I thought I just heard you all say "DUH" in unison!
Maybe it was just my cats doing it, again!

So, today I am just posting a couple pretty pink pictures...
just random, no theme. Then I will spend the day
reading the tutorials that my sister tells me are somewhere
within this little white beast (affectionately known as Jadis...
only Nerds of Naria will get that),
so I will be FULL of skill and knowledge by my next post!

I love a pretty doilie!!! Ok, I love more than just
"a" doilie! I love lots of them....all of them!!!
I have many from my great grandmother, grand
mother and various other places, and to be
honest, I don't know which ones are which
any more!



But whoever made them, they are amazing works
of art!! A mass of loops and knots become something
so cool!





I cannot imagine being able to create something
this intricate!






And I can't think of any prettier background for my
pictures!!

Almost every evening at about 5, there is a beautiful
sunset starting to appear through the west facing
windows at work...







and I'm always amazed at how quickly
the picture can change if I don't grab my
camera and get a shot of it right that
moment!!

WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's something you don't know about me...
ok, there are a lot of things you don't know... but
one thing...one weird thing...is that when it's really
hot during the summer, I listen to Christmas
music...Mind over matter! I sing about "winter
wonderlands" and "sleigh rides" in the hope that
it will get me into a "cool" frame of mind. And, yes,
sometimes it works!! :)





So, since today, it was about 80 degrees! I thought
I'd do a blog version of the same thing! All wintery
white, snowy cool, frostily fabulous...you get the idea!

OK! Yes, I know it's pathetic! But it's all I
haaaaaaave!!!!!!!!!!




We have someone visting us from our Kentucky
office this week...it's like 10 degrees there...I honestly
had NO idea it got that cold in KY! Anywho, she is
dressed all bare-legged and summery...while I have on
boots! That's right boots! It is JANUARY and I will
have winter...no matter how sweaty I get!!! I have
amazing determination...and imagination! ;)

Heart Attack!

Aaaarrrrrrrrgh....pictures I think I have uploaded
and edited seem to be slipping from my grasp!
Eluding me...or very possibly, they are hiding on
purpose!!!!
But I will get this all figured out! As God is my

That title has a double meaning for me today....
Obviously, this post is centered around a "Heart "
theme...but also, I am begging your indulgence for
a time. I finally got my own computer
(THX AGAIN GUYS!) And I am not very adept at
using it yet...Mac is a completely different animal!
But, I am finally all set up... (THX POOKIE!!) and
this is my first post on my computer, from my own
home while sitting on the floor...WOW!

Question: What do you Mac people use for photo
editing???? I have IPhoto, but I'm not really feeling
it! Too limited, so I was thinking of buying my old
Corel program for Mac...I need more borders or
I'll go nuts!!!

OK...enough of my blah, blah, blah...

I was having fun today digging out all my hearts
that I'll be needing for decorating and crafting!
Thankfully, Kae has always been a fan of the heart
shape, so we are never in short supply of them!







A few beads for earrings & things....











These are cute little stickers that are "supposed"
to be for scrapping...but they look so cute in their
little box, I've never been able to use them!!!







I brought out all the sparkly, shiny hearts
I could find!!









And broke out my heart pins!!!!


I add all the little "Valentine-y" touches to
anything that couldn't out run me !!!
















No matter how small!!!!











I really put my heart into it!! :)
