Martha Would Be Spinning In Her Grave!

Seriously!
She would be!
And she's not even dead...
that is how bad this is!
I have out "Oscared" even myself!
(reference key: Felix & Oscar...The Odd Couple...
Oscar was the SLOB!)

So, as I said, I went to Walmart & Michael's
on Nov. 1st in search of pumpkins. Well, at
Michael's I got this super cute ribbon that I
didn't know I how I was going to use...
but I knew I would...eventually...and it was
in those dollar bins that give me an insight
to what a crack addition must be like! So,
I HAD to buy it!

So, on Sunday, the 8th, I found a need for it
and I began to root around...and root....and
root...and came upon a bag with the top tied
so I opened it up....
Gol darnie! It was just the stuff I bought at Walmart!
(uh, yah...another "m" ;)

Ok...there's no ribbon in here...
but there is another bag under this
one...hmmm...

GROSS OUT! Yep! Eggs!
WOW! I must have really needed them
to not even notice that they weren't in the
fridge for a whole week! I laughed so hard
I think I ruptured a disc!

Now that I have shattered any illusions
you may have had about me...have a great
Thursday! And while your at it...have an
omelette!

(File under "Keepin' It Real" or
"TMI"...you decide! ;)

  1. Ha ha, that's like the week I kept putting the pepper mill in the fridge. Not once but everyday for a week, I thought I was going mad....... well that's still up for debate.
I think in some countries they don't put their eggs in the fridge, ewwww....

  6. LOL If it was nice and warm in there you might have had baby chicks um wait that's Easter not Thanksgiving.
I'd blame it on Menopause myself.

  7. What a wonderful way to start my morning! That for the laugh. If we can't laugh as ourselves, life is pretty sad. Have a great day and no more Easter Egg Hunts!

  9. Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. We all have those times in our lives.

Why is shopping for the stuff more fun than putting it away?

  11. at least they weren't spoiled yet.

I once forgot a doggie bag - from a seafood restaurant - in my glove compartment.

I took the car to the shop TWICE, thinking the air conditioner was making this horrific odor. Luckily, the second time, the mechanic did a little detective work and found the month old swordfish steak.

(I know the feelings of withdrawal leaving those dollar bins at Michaels!)

  12. Girl you are freakin' hilarious! Have you ever considered writing a book? I would guess it would be a bestseller - you've got talent!

  13. That is so funny. I have left groceries in my trunk overnight. Thankfully the only thing I had to throw out was a container of sour cream.

Last Easter I hid hard boiled eggs for my grandson to find. He thought that was so much fun he wanted to hide them for me to find. Six months later, I found the last one upstairs under the cedar chest. He didn't even go upstairs, but the dog must have gotten it. I'm glad it didn't crack open.

  18. I don't think Martha would have turned in her grave over that even if she was in one. We all know she has done enough crazy stuff in her lifetime and I think she would have been happy if forgetting a dozen eggs was the worse thing she did. I have a great rememberer for remembering I bought or found things (stuff like that) but never have been good and remembering where I put them - until I've gone out and bought more when i need them - then I find the other. I blame it on the cat for dragging them off to some black hole in the house. But he always pleads innocent to the charge so it must be a series of Senior Moments
    Take care

  19. Oh, that sounds like something I would do! lol Last week I went grocery shopping, and asked hubby to put the frozen stuff in the freezer down the basement, and the spare stuff on the shelf down there also. (I have shelves in the basement for canned and boxed goods). I always put the freezer stuff away first down there, and then the canned stuff. Well, he decided to put away the canned stuff first, and 2 days later ai found the bag of frozen stuff laying on the floor in front of the freezer still in the bag. Fortunately, there were only about 3 things in there.
