I Just Gotta Know...

Back in the days when I didn't have to work
on the Friday after Thanksgiving, there was
about a snowball's chance that I be up in the
cold dawn hours to go shopping!

But I just want to know...did you go shopping
to day? Did you get in line yesterday? Did you
get any great deals? Spill! (set your comment
on anonymous if necessary! ;)

  1. Hello there... no, I didn't go shopping or wait in any lines... I am going to shop online today... NO lines at all! I would LOVE that Black Friday poster or whatever it is!!! Bisous... Julie Marie

  2. Not for me! My hubby is out...crowds and lines don't bother him. He will be looking at electronics (his fave thing) so he will have a great affinity with all those in line with him and lots to talk about...

  3. Not a chance I'd ever get up that earlier or go shopping when everyone else does.

  4. No.
But I almost did! - however a news report allowed me to sleep in.
There was a sale at Sears for 42" flatscreen tv for $650! I was going to get up at the crack of dawn to get it. Then a news report exposed that it was all a come-on ... each Sears store had THREE of them - and then no rain checks.
I wasn't about to get up at 3am for a limited chance of getting one.
But I did enjoy watching Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House on TCM!

  5. You couldn't have paid me (well, perhaps, a few million would do the trick) enough to subject myself to the crowds. So, no, I did NOT go shopping. I did it one year, many years ago, and I did get great deals, bla, bla, bla, but I decided it just isn't worth it.

    Hope your Thanksgiving was delightful!

    Hugs,
    Tamerie

  6. Ran to Walmart at 8:00 am. Everything for their 5 - 11 sale was gone. Place wasn't that busy and no I will not wait in line! I prefer the day after Christmas shopping best! You can find me at Target every year!!

  7. NO!
no crazy lunacy for me..It was bad enough having my joyful Thanksgiving Holiday turned into continuous celebration of commercialism ads for this day of frenzied spending!(my traditional T day is watching the Macy's Parade while prepping for the dinner, afterwards, football games while doing Christmas cards..)
in a time of poor economy, lost jobs and homes, I feel this is one more slap in the face at forgetting the "Reason for the Season". whatever happened to a simpler approach to gifting on this beautiful holiday?

  9. We were tempted to come across the border tomorrow for shopping, but didn't... and you couldn't entice me with sugar plums dancing to go shopping on Black Friday! I'm really not that friendly!

  10. No, but I bought something online today! I do go the day after Christmas to buy up wrapping paper and any other goodies I can get my hands on! That's about as scary as I get. I know some people really love black friday, though.

  12. Nope, not me. I did it once and that was enough for me. I'm too busy staying home stuffing my face with leftovers.
