Holiday Hardware...

Ok...it not that big...but it is an idea!
I was waiting and looking for just the
right vintage door knob which I finally
found on Etsy (oh how I love thee Etsy!!)

Nope, it's not MY idea...I just wanted to make
one of my own...and it's a snap!!
Cut your lengths of wire...fill the knob with
glue or hot glue...pop the wire in...and there
you go!!!

Being me, I couldn't leave it in it's
elegant vintage simplicity...naaaah!

Then you're all set to add pictures,
postcards, doodads, whatsits...you
name it!

{I am partial to that particular letter...
...even if it is an upside down "w" ;}

Well, I knew I had these knobs too...
so I thought I'd give a petite version
a whirl.

I could not get that metal thing out of it
to save my life! So, I just wrapped it with
seam binding as "camouflage" of sorts.

Wire wiggles...

A little something shiny!

And a few miscellaneous pretties that look cute
together!
Try it out!! It's really easy! And how cute would
these be as name markers at each place setting
at your holiday table??!!

  5. Very, very creative! I like the big version and the petite one, too. SO cute, and that's clever how you wrapped it with binding. I might have to go see what I can find to do something similar.

    Happy Met Monday...

  6. What a fab idea!! I LOVE this and it will go so nicely with my house because we have lots of those knobs on all our inside doors (and they keep falling off). But now I need to find some elsewhere to make this.....hmmmmmm
