So Prettily Painted...

CHRISTIE REPASY HAS A BLOG !
She has sooo appropriately named it Chateau de Fleurs . In honor of her new blog we are revisiting one of the {many;} post that we have written about Christie over the years...just in case you have been on Alpha Centari and have never seen her amazing roses!!!!

We first fell in love with Christie Repasy way
back in our chintz collecting days. We were
all so thrilled and amazed that anyone, let
alone such an amazing artist, was painting
such charming pictures of our little obsession.

Naturally, in no time at all, her paintings were
everywhere!

She paints roses like no other!

And her colors are gorgeous!

So, even as our chintz collecting has
waned...

our Repasy collections have grown!

From the gigantic statement piece....

to the tiny little trinket....

no matter the size, we love her artistry
and treasure our collections of her work!

  5. Wow! THat is one lovely collection! I especially like the one in the circular frame. It looks like a ceiling medallion with the center cut out! Cool! Hey!!! I just might try that as a frame/mat for a tatted doily!!! That TOTALLY gives me an idea!

Scrolling down a bit to previous posts I LOVE Bee's new chairs!!!

I cannot tell you how relieved I am to here that the blue thing was all an April Fool's joke, LOL! You really had me going! I was all ready to unsubscribe from your blog in my google reader and EVERYTHING!!!

April FOOLS! I wouldn't have done that, but I would've been deeply disappointed in you, LOL! ;)

  12. Visiting you via Kelli's Show and Tell blog train!

What a talent - these make your home feel like a walk in a rose garden on a summers day! SO beautiful - part of it is the lovely way you've framed or displayed each piece and then decorated to match.

    I've loved the visit here!

  16. I love her pictures, they remind me so much of my grandmother's many rose-decorated items from the 40s and 50s.
