Home Is Where The Paint Is...

I bought these months ago from
TERRY'S VILLAGE
(I always buy off season and when they
have a good shipping deal... then
everything is practically FREE!)

These are a tad "rustic" for me, so
a-painting I will go!

(I thought this shot was really cool...
until I remembered that the E is still
backwards...GEEN-YUS!)

(after the inspector has finished, of course!)

Voila! Light, bright & airy!
(yes, Mr. Pickle was still there...
anyone with a cat knows that they
put a lot of time and energy into
NOT doing very much...until you're
in bed...then it's Midnight
Crazies!)

Final touch...
a charming arrangement and there you
have it...from Little House On The Prairie
to Little Cottage In The OC, in no time at
all!!

Can't wait to see what they look like
all lit up!

  4. very nice! I much prefer them white - but, then, I'm not a big fan of rust (I realize around some parts that's cause for banishment).

  16. What an awesome makeover! Your blog is incredible. I recently moved into a small apartment that I want to decorate with a lot of white. Some say white is "out", but I've just begun, and I see you don't believe "them" either! I adore the Swedish blogs with their beautiful whites. In my present circumstance (recently lost my hubby), I have to do this on less than a shoestring, so I'm lovin' your budget tips. I decorated with darker woods and country blue before, and am ready for a change. I've been sitting here with my morning coffee pouring over your archives oooing and awwwing as I go. Your style is such an inspiration! Now I'm going to hurry off and add your link to my sidebar so I don't forget how to get back to you. ♥
