Show & Tell Friday

I adore mother-of-pearl buttons!!!!!
From the teeniest to the largest...plain
or carved, I just love them!

I keep them in jars just so I can look at them.

On plates so they are easily accessible for
crafting when my muse comes to call!

I love to use then for every possible whim...

from switch plates....

to pins, they are fabulous
and functional!!!

Stop over at

  2. I want a switchplate cover like that too! These are so lovely!
My brother loves buttons too. I think it stems from us playing with my grand grandmother's tin of buttons.

  4. I love buttons also, have lots
of MOP ones! It is amazing how
much care went into adding buttons
to clothing and how beautifully the
    old buttons were made.

  6. Oh I love them too. And, I love that little heart you made with them. I think I'm going to have to make myself one of those. I once saw a show on HG TV where they covered an occasional chair with buttons. The seat and the back. I think they just glued them on. It looked really neat.

  13. M-I love that switchplate! What a wonderful idea, and of course it came from you. You have the loveliest photos and things you do. It always amazes me what you come up with. A switchplate and a few buttons and frame, and it looks incredible. Great job.
