Sky Watch Friday & Pink Saturday!!

These funky clouds I captured last week...
they looked so pretty and ethereal, with
those misty trails flowing behind them!

These ones look like kites! (Or space ships...
Mulder, Scully, what is the truth?)

It has been a really humid summer, so
we have been seeing the coolest clouds...
unfortunately no rain! Oh well, you can't
have everything!

Be sure to stop by
The Official Sky Watch Blog

to see all the other wonders of the air!!!

PINK SATURDAY!!!

I have always wanted an old fashioned bird cage
stand to hang a chandelier or a bird cage from...
I love that look!!! Alas, I have never found one...
yet. But as I was contemplating the little votive
birdcage that I bought at Michael's, I got a
bright idea!
So, I gathered this & that...and more this & that
and before I knew it, I had my own miniature
version!!

I used my buffet stand "stands-in" for a
bird cage stand! Can you stand it???!!!

Tissue garland, a tiny key, prisms, ribbons, feathers,
flowers, tulle...everything but the kitchen sink!

And the final touch...my little china ballerina.
She is happy to have such a pretty perch now!!!

Be sure to visit our hostess, Beverly at

HOW SWEET THE SOUND

to see more pink treats & treasures!!!

And while I have you all here...have you all met, Babette?
She lives at
Poussiere du Sud
Once again, I'm not quite sure how I ended up at her blog,
but what fun! Her house & garden are GORGEOUS!!!
She loves to shop for things to transform and transform
them she does!!! Furniture, nik-naks, everything...and
all in FRENCH! And even though I can only understand
a few words of each post...her pictures speak a thousand
words! Tres fab!

Have a great weekend!!

  14. Love the birdcage and seeing your metal plate stand PINK, makes me think I may have to buy some lavendar paint for my 'jewelry' hanger. It is similar metal and needs a bit of something. Hmmmmmm.

  20. That third one has Wendy flying across the sky to meet Peter Pan.
Can you see her flying left to right.
The others too have that etherial quality that faerie tales are built on.

    Very well spotted!
