All That Glitters...must be my lamps!!

I must be part badger because I love
all things shiny & glittery...particularly
chandeliers and beaded lamp shades!

The way they sparkle in the sun....

The way they make little rainbows
dance around the room....

They elegance they bring to every
lampshade...(And believe me, I do
"bring" them to every lampshade!).

The tinkling sound they make as the cat
climbs the tablecloth, uh, I mean, as the
summer breeze softly blows....

They also make a great personal Richter Scale
since they are usually the first things to register
movement when an earthquake starts!! Who needs
Cal Tech! :)
(Those of you who have you shelves & hutches
wired to the stud in the wall and buy "Quake-crete/
Museum putty" by the pound, know what I mean!).

OK, the last 2 might not apply to most of you,
(possibly because you are sane!) But I know you
all LOVE a beautiful chandelier or beaded lamp
just as much as I do...
So....
SHOW ME YOUR SPARKLE!!!!!!
I know I am a bit knew to this world to be
so pushy...but I'm going to anyway!
I would love to see all of your gorgeous lighting!!!
So, if you can squeeze it in this week, please
post your shiniest, your sparkle-iest, your
dangle-iest!! I can't wait to see!! And please
let me know so I don't miss a single one!!

Or this fate will befall you! :)

  1. How funny! When my good friend comes from CA to visit, she says my house is a death trap! So many things on the wall shelves and over door ways, and everywhere else, that an earthquake would send it all flying.

Luckily, no earthquakes around here, or I'd have to glue it all down, I sure couldn't imagine not having it!

  8. Honey, you should have been with me at the antique mall yesterday then! So much sparkle and dangling pretties you would have been in heaven. I'm going to post pics starting tomorrow. I'm like you: hand me a lampshade and I get out the hotglue gun and some sparklies!

  24. Thanks for your visit to my SkyWatch Friday post, O.C.

I'm on the road and in the field doing another photo trip chasing the bloom of our Rosebay Rhododendron (white blossoms) in the northern area of the Southern Appalachian mountains, and with lodging that does not have the most reliable internet service. I won't be home again for a few more days yet, but I did finally develop and upload a few images to update my July 7 Rhododendron post.

Sunrise this morning was a washout, literally, with locally heavy thunderstorms--looks like the rain won't ease up until later morning so I'm going to breakfast soon. But I wanted to try and get around to all who visited my SWF, and others too while I still have good internet access. So, please forgive this cut & paste with a small bit of personalization added--I do appreciate your visit and your comments.

What an interesting post you have here--it puts a smile on my face and joy in my heart.
